Sehr dichte, in gewisser Weise „orchestrale“ Passagen zu Beginn des Werkes, führen „peu à peu“ zu einer Pizzicato-„Wolke“, die sich allmählich entflechtet und in einen punktuell abgegrenzten Klangraum mündet. Lang gehaltene Pianissimo-Töne, die quasi als künstliche Resonanzen aus den Punkten herauswachsen, leiten eine Art Durchführung ein, in der alle exponierten Elemente aufblitzen, um dann von einer mikrotonalen Flächenstruktur abgelöst zu werden, die ihrerseits eine intensive „Climax“ einleitet.
Die Coda des Cellos, die das Stück abschliesst, non vibrato, sul tasto gespielt, rundet das Werk mit einer choralartigen 11-Ton Melodie ab
Is dedicated to the marvelous Streiff-Trio, that performed the work 1999 in Seoul during the Pan-Festival for the first time.
Very dense, in some way “orchestral” passages at the beginning of the trio lead “peu à peu” to a pizzicato section with a rarefaction of the texture. Emerging from the “points”, some very long notes are hold pianissimo by another instrument, creating artificial resonances. In the following “Durchführung” these elements are alternating very quickly. After a calm passage an intense climax follows leading to the “coda”: the cello is concluding the piece with a “choral”-melody…
