Biography

Anuk Schmelcher is a 90’s born and zurich based multi-instrumentalist, producer and sound artist. Her mainwork focus is the practice of listening, which she explores in a variety of formats and approaches. Her songs explore questions of relationship, intimacy and identity. She produces them herself with voice, drums, harmonium, piano and guitar. Anuk Schmelcher is involved in various projects as a drummer. She currently plays in the trio Obliecht. Since 2019 Anuk Schmelcher is studying soundarts at the HKB in Bern. She delves into practices of active listening, produces audio pieces and is learning audio production. She composes music and sounds for film and radio.
